If you receive the gift of my Son Jesus,
you receive me.

1 John 2:23
No one who denies the Son has the Father;
whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. (NIV Bible)

The Father and the Son are one. All that belongs to the Father is the Son's and all that belongs to the Son's is the Father's (John 16:15). When we receive the free gift that is offered to us through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we receive all that the Father has to offer.

Whether we feel like we have a revelation of the Father's love or not, in Jesus, through Jesus, and by Jesus, we have complete and unrestricted access to the Father. We need not ever feel that we are missing anything if we have asked Jesus to come into our lives. When we received the Son we received His Father. In John 14:23, Jesus says "My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him." (NIV Bible)

If Jesus lives is in us, then the Father lives in us and He has given us His Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. What a joy it is to be in relationship with all three persons in the Trinity!

PRAYER
Father, I thank You that when I received the gift of Your Son Jesus, I received all that You have to offer. Thank You for coming to live in me when I asked Jesus into my heart. I love You and want to know Your love deeper than I have ever known it before. In the name of Your beloved Son Jesus I pray, AMEN.
