I am also the Father who
comforts you in all your troubles.

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

When my father passed away a few years ago, I had to rely on the love of God to sustain me. Only the Father's love could reach the deepest part of me that was hurting and missing my dad. I felt His gentle arms carry me and cradle me in my time of grief. During this difficult time in my life, I received a deeper understanding of God as the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort who comforts me in all my troubles.

When I needed comfort most, He was faithful to be there. I realized that through all my pain and disappointment, Father just wanted to be with me and to weep with me as His heart was breaking with my heart.

There are seasons of devastation that we all go through where we are in desperate need of a Father's love and comfort. Let your Heavenly Daddy carry you through these seasons in your life. You were never meant to shoulder these burdens on your own. Father wants to comfort you with His tender love, so that you might be able to pass on the comfort that you have received to others when they need the Father's love.

PRAYER
Father, I thank You for always being there for me in all my troubles. You are the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. When I am in despair, I know You are close to me. Help me to feel Your arms of love around me, sustaining me and comforting me in my deepest time of need. In the name of Your beloved son Jesus I pray, AMEN.
